The Sun rises . . . . and sets, eveyday
The Sun rises . . . . and sets, everyday. It is about another aspect of my life. It is quite fearful. The Sun rises . . . . and sets, everyday is about mathematical constants.
Why did I write about Sun? Because of repetitions and being infinite. Similar to mathematical constants.
There is so much of fight over God. Many imagine God to be sitting above clouds and deciding on heaven and hell. Having faith in God, presumably gives direction to men and keeps them away from doing bad things.
To me repetitions and infinity are much more closer than God. Why don't people repeat things steadfastly with strength like Sun and do things? I wonder !!
I feel repetitions and strength and motivation inspired from Sun should be considered God. It will give courage, hope, sincerity. It will improve India. It will develop personality.
I have come to a dead end with respect to constants. I do not know how to go further. In India there are courses and procedures for admission to courses.
I wish I had somebody like Prof. Hardy who guided Ramanujan and offered him scholarship to study in Cambridge. Wow !! How kind of Prof. Hardy !!

Sandhyavandhanam
Sandhyavandhanam is a set of prayers done by a brahmin ( a caste in India).
I am more modern and do exercises. But as I have time to spare, I have included Sandhyavandanam too in my daily routine.
My daily routine consists of dumbbells exercises and sandhyavandhanam in the mornings. I do not have time to spare in the afternoon and evenings.
I remember the prayers and procedures.

Why India fails ? (#PythaShastri Mathematical Explanation)
There are mathematicians. In India. There were Aryabhatta, Bhaskara and others. Then there were Madhava of Sangamagrama and Ramanujan.
First things first. Why this grouping? It is because of complex numbers. The spin. The halving and doubling phenomenon. Something similar to cell division and growth.
We need to halve. We need to double. This is the way of life. This is what we need to follow.
We need to cut greed. We need to produce more milk. (Halve. And Double)
We need to cut corruption. We need to increase policing. (Halve. And Double)
We need to cut luxuries. We need to improve productivity. (Halve. And Double)
We have always been attracted to the power of money. Though we are good in businesses and economies; but the modern businesses are close to technology and in synergy with it.
I wrote about money, because money helps in halving and doubling both. It is such a thing.
Another thing is halving and doubling are to be done with the same life force; if they are to be effective. Greed reduction and higher milk production should be from the same person. Corruption reduction and increase in policing from the same person. Cutting luxuries and increasing productivity from the same person.
These things did not happen favorably and we have failed as a nation because of this.
But I want India to do well. Especially the youngsters. I hope this lesson of halving and doubling reaches them. And . . . . . inspires them.
I plan to be in synergy with technologists and make/arrange money. Also I shall try to lead a halving/doubling life.

Destructiveness
Destructiveness has been condemned by our society in India, It is not acceptable at all. Destructive mindset is unwelcome and is usually discriminated and considered anti-social.
A person in destructive mode is in quadrant I. He is suicidal. He may cause destruction. He may show unwarranted aggressive behavior. He may express anger to even favorable situations.
Such a person behaves with close associates as in quadrant II. He blames his friends, family, society and organisation for his failures. Any one of them or some of them or all of them.
A person with destructive mindset anticipates as in quadrant III. He begins to expect scheming enemies and foresees situations beyond control. He anticipates mishaps and fears of further discrimination arise in his mind.
Such a person views the world differently and is as in quadrant IV. He feels the situation is unwelcome and there is no scope for improvement. He sees moral corruption everywhere.
Is it bad to have a destructive mindset?
Not necessarily.
There are work which calls for channelizing this mindset for welfare. Cleaning, polishing, exercising, physical work are some ways to channelize this mindset.
Lord Shiva was a god of destruction. There are many devotees of Shiva. Much more than Vishnu devotees. But people in haste and greed forget to listen to reason and follow the successful for short term gains.

Old Wine and a New Bottle or More Kindle Books
Github essentials is the new book. Engineering mathematics, control system engineering and basic electronic devices are books on learned concepts. During my engineering, these three were my only weak areas. Engineering mathematics due to its vastness. Control Systems engineering due to non visualization of practical utility. Electronic devices due to complexity. This is how I feel now. In those times I remember Electronics being tough. Very interesting. But could not cope with this subject. But I realized the importance of its graph. This graph business helped me in power electronics. Engineering mathematics was interesting but field theory mathematics was above head.
Control systems were about memorizing. Mechanical engineering subjects were automobile principles and their practicality. And strength of materials and other issues. This is how I feel now about mechanical subjects. Electrical engineering subjects had winding diagrams, Motor and generator problems and graphs and electrical faults in transmission. Power electronics was interesting.
I became an engineer with 78%. No backlogs. All subjects cleared in one attempt.
In these books, I feel Leonardo da Vinci is the greatest genius. Amazing that so much can be written on drawing and painting. Lenn Redman of Caricatures is another great. I am finding it difficult to keep up with other authors because their vision is different.

Freedom - A Short Story
Kirti woke up from his sleep at 6 am. He had a good 8 hours of sleep. He felt refreshed and looked forward to this day. It was a holiday and he decided to spend the whole day to his liking.
He went to gymnasium at 7 am and did weights workouts. He was happy with the shape his body was getting into. He did workout for one full hour with concentration, dedication and intelligence. He was out of the gym by 8 am.
He then decided to do a combination of running, jogging and walking for an hour. He did that and by 9 am he felt much worked out and his whole body was enthusiastic and was vibrating with life.
He went home and at 10 am he did prayers to God. For half an hour. Just he and God and the prayers. He thought this time was important to well being of not only himself but also the whole humanity and nature.
At 11 am he decided to teach himself music. He knew the theories and he played cassettes and looked to internet and started singing and learning Raagas. He learnt music for 2 hours.
At 2pm he felt a bit restless and decided to do cartoons. He spent a good 1 hour on this hobby.
At 3 pm he read newspapers and magazines and spent a full one and half hours on them. He was happy with the state of affairs in his country. And he was glad that the newspapers reiterated this fact.
At 5 pm he had a cup of coffee and thought "Why not expand his theories on life and life forces?". He spent 2 hours working on his theories. He used a laptop also to help build his theories and explanations.
At 7:30 pm, he felt hungry and asked his mother to give him dinner. His mother looked at him in anger and said, "You have done nothing fruitful the whole day. Just think it over. If you have to lead a life like this everyday, then, will it fetch you food?"

Who is more hypocrite ? - A short story
Anand yells at Balan. "You have not helped me out. Did you? You could not have spared Rs.200 for me, when I needed it?"
Balan responds defensively and says, "I know you have an urgent need for this money. I do not have much to spare. Also, I may need money at the end of month. I thought my need was more and I decided not to lend you. Am I being a hypocrite?"
Anand decides not to talk on this further. He switches on Samba music and murmurs, "Let me change mood with this favorite music of mine."
Balan says angrily, " Your favorite? When did Samba music become your favorite? I thought you liked pop more. Are you not a hypocrite?"
Anand yells back, " No I am not. Just that Samba is my favorite at this instant."
Caushik who was eating potato chips, was hearing the conversations all the while. He did not stop eating his chips and went to the table to get another packet.
Balan was aghast with the behaviour of Caushik. He shouted at him. He said," Caushik are you not a hypocrite? Most of the poor die due to hunger. And here you are. Chips after chips. Shameful !!"
Caushik resorted. He said, " My eating is not going to harm world hunger. Anyway development work needs a man with full stomach to work effectively."
Balan was aghast with the behaviour of Anand and Caushik. He was also not too happy with Dhanush who preferred to be silent most of the time. Balan thought Dhanush knew only a few words because he would hardly speak 10 words in a day.
Balan says to Dhanush, "Have you seen the behaviour of Anand and Caushik? Disgraceful isn't it? Already the population in our country is high. And we have hypocrites like Anand and Caushik who cause harm to others. What is the use in their being alive?"
Dhanush did not speak. He moved. He picks up machine gun hidden in his back and brings it to the front and fires at Anand, Balan and Caushik, killing them instantly.
Dhanush then says, " I have killed three men. Population has been reduced. Am I a hypocrite?"

The daily essentials
The other day, I thought that though I lead a routine life; there are certain things which are essential to help lead a meaningful life. I am not talking about roti, kapada aur makan. I am talking about things like gadgets, television, sketchbook type of items.
I must mention here that I have given most of my books to kabaddiwala. The history books, short stories collection, bollywood music and all. I read somewhere that old books become baggage on life and it is essential to get rid of these to feel free. Also, I no longer enjoy books the way I used to earlier. My mental state at present does not allow to keep pace with the author. I sometimes do re-reading. Complete Works of Conan Doyle can be read anytime. I have kept this book.
Newspapers are essential to me. I had a tendency of making notes from newspaper. I installed brain mapping software Personal Brain 6 to take notes effectively. But this habit too I am not presently interested in. I am presently comfortable with RSS feeds from Google news.
Gadgets are important in my life. I have Nokia 1520 and Nokia 720. Nokia 720 is mainly for artificial intelligence. The SIM got locked in Nokia 720. I have got the SIM unlocked with PUK code. But it works only for calls. Nokia 1520 is my all round Airtel phone. Nokia 720 is calls through MTNL and artificial intelligence. Artificial Intelligence can be interesting with questions like "Do you think I think wisely?". But I used it to fetch me an important section "Opening Bell" of Mint newspaper. But it did not work effectively for "Current price of potato in Delhi".
Television is good to watch movies like "Men in Black", "Mission Impossible", "Jab We Met" etc. again and again. They are great for NDTV news too.
Commenting too much on Bollywood Music has made the composer in me die. I have also stopped playing dafli. Only rarely do I play. The imagined fear of Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Lata Mangeshkar and Pyarelal is preventing me to experiment too much.
FM radio is great when travelling. Install Shazam app in your device to know the name of the song you hear. Many times you may like the song, but do not know the name. Shazam is useful here. A 5 minute sample listening by Shazam at any stage of the song is usually enough to tell the song name accurately.

The Rock on the Roadside
The other day when I was jogging, I had to stop and change direction a little because there was a rock on the roadside. To me the presence of a rock is undesirable as it is difficult to remove and causes obstruction for a longer time. The jogging is preferable as it is morning hours and onlookers are likely to be inspired by exercise which is for a healthy lifestyle.
Jogging is a body science and an art. The most important ingredient is the persistence. I was sort of irregular for the last five years. I would do jogging say 10 days a month earlier. But nowadays it is a daily exercise for 30 minutes. My speed is more than 8kmph.
Over the years there are a lot of lessons learnt about exercises, especially jogging. The most important is relaxation. Believe me, relaxation is the key to a healthy exercising.
I am 45 years old now. It is difficult to improve the timing of jogging. Maybe I can improve to 10 kmph speed for 1 hour at the most.
If you are new to jogging, there are some more tips that I would like to give here.
Breathing is a difficult thing. It is advisable to breathe with nose throughout the jogging session. This may mean very slow speed. But it is still advisable to jog at a speed where you can manage with breathing with nose.
If you jog for 30 minutes, do not forget to massage your legs with ointment for 30 minutes.
It is a challenge to make 8 kmph to 10 kmph and that too for double the time. There are weaknesses and obstacles like the rock in the road.

The Bell in The Temple
The bell rang in the temple the other day. The speakers were amplifying the bhajan and spread the word of God everywhere. His home a few metres away from the temple, Ravi got up from his sofa. He washed his face and proceeded almost mechanically to the temple. It was a habit and he knew all the verses the priest would sing to the dieties.
Over a few months Ravi got acquainted with the priest. He would talk with the temple priest and got to know a lot about him. The name of the priest was Diwakar Jha. The last three generation of Diwakar were into priesthood. They lived very simple lives and were given monthly allowance by Dharma Society.
There was another person who would come to the temple regularly. He was Vivek Agrawal, the local grocery store owner. Ravi, Vivek and Diwakar would sometimes talk after the Aarti session of the temple. Most of the time they would dwelve on the local political and social situation. But they never criticised anybody but tried to offer positive suggestions.
Today the priest Diwakar looked worried. Ravi and Vivek followed Diwakar silently to each of the dieties silently uttering prayers in their minds. At a convenient time, Ravi and Vivek went to Diwakar and asked why he looked sad.
Diwakar then told that he was threatened by an Income Tax official that temple fund is being used to run Diwakar's house. Diwakar told Ravi and Vivek that maybe 100-200 rupees of temple funds were used but not more than that. "Is it wrong to add funds from temple this way?"
Ravi an expert in finances said that there is nothing called addition. Events are added in memory and conclusions drawn. Finance also acts on events and event addition. Ravi assured Diwakar that he and Vivek were adding events to the life of Diwakar by visiting temple every day. Vivek was a grocer and Ravi would put money in the temple every now and then. Together the three were enough to fight the Income Tax official. Ravi said if the man comes back, ring the bell of the temple loudly.
The ring of the temple bell is awaited . . .
