wavering mind of mine

I had my childhood in Delhi. I must be considered a great Delhi boy by many Delhi people. The reasons are I have great respect for Lala Lajpat Rai. I have great respect for Swami Dayanand Saraswati. I also did a part-time job as a car mechanic in 11th class summer holidays. And I cleared my Jamia Engineering test in 12th class. All in all my life as a school boy was good and something that actual Delhi people would be proud of.

But I had wavering mind when it came to music. I learnt Hawaiin guitar. And then I switched to Spanish guitar. I had wavering mind.

I could not clear Jamia interview. I joined BSc Physics course. Later I pursued engineering from Kumaraguru College in electrical and electronics engineering leaving my BSc Physics course. I had wavering mind..

I do wonder why wavering of mind occurred in music. Why wavering of mind occurred during BSc life. Does it have to do with North India  South India social differences? 

If it is, then I do need social justice. Now.

Better late than never. 

My respect for Lala Lajpat Rai was/is too high. I find it unfair should there be that the wavering of mind is due to social differences. 

Raja raja chola

 

Right from my childhood, I was deeply drawn by great kings. I used to admire Akbar, Maharana Pratap and Raja raja chola.

Raja raja chola is like a brand for me. Just like, when you hear 'TATA', you feel great; when I hear 'Raja raja chola', I feel great.

Down south, though there are difference of opinion when it comes to Chola dynasty as a whole; there is unanimity when it comes to Raja raja chola as an individual king. Everyone down south agrees that Raja raja chola was a great king. 'Ponniyin Selvan' was a great king.

It is not wisdom to speak of old kings in Tamil Nadu these days. Because of prevalent Dravidian thoughts.

Thirukural AI

Thirukural are famous poems on right, correct and good behavior.  They were written by Thiruvalluvar ages back. 

Now guys have made AI on thirukural.  The advice and the sayings are very correct to a dravidian mindset (including me). Meaning Tamil Nadu, Kerala,  Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, southern Maharashtra, southern Odisha guys will find the advices good and correct and apt and proper.

North Indians,  West Indians,  East Indians may not find the sayings suitable. However I advise them to question this AI engine and understand Dravidian thought processes.  This is necessary for a better India. 

Three things I wish to state. Namely, 

I have stayed in north, south and east India. 

Thirukural does not have anything to say on God and sex.

I remember one or two thirukurals.

The Indian cricket team

The present Indian cricket team played great cricket and came back and won the second test.

There are still 3 test matches more to be played against England.

Circuits approach to art

I have about 4 hours with me at home in Ranchi. I am doing art to be occupied.  I sit and do drawings.

I have made circuits approach to fulfill my art objectives and desires. Basically there are three circuits of drawing. 1. Compulsory circuit 2. Essentials circuit 3. Hobby circuit. My plan is to do Compulsory circuit everyday. Only one from the essentials circuit everyday. And one from Hobby circuit whenever possible/ once a week.

1. Compulsory circuit

5 PDCA with camera at ribs level, 3 PDCA with camera above head and 3 PDCA with camera at ground level.

2. Essentials circuit

Hands drawing or Animals drawing or complete frame drawing or clothes drawing or inking practices

3. Hobby circuit

Hyper-realistic object drawing (Marcello Barenghi) or Portraits drawing (Nestor Canavarro) or Funny Caricatures drawing (Tom Richmond) or Landscape drawing with pen (Stephen Travers)

I find this plan suitable and to my satisfaction. It is mostly my final plan. To pursue arts.

Migrants from Pakistan

Migrants from Pakistan were very simple people. They were kind hearted. They were friendly neighbors.

They would share food with us. They would watch TV with us.

I learnt to ride cycle because I was taught by an elder migrant from Pakistan. 😭😭😭

Those days in 1978, 79, 80 etc. I just cannot forget them.

My favorite food time table

Breakfast 

5 pooris and South Indian aloo bhaji (similar to stuffing in Masala dosa but a bit liquid)

Or

3 aloo parantha/3 Gobi parantha/3 mooli parantha with yesterday's leftover rajma and curd and achaar.

Or

4 slices of buttered toast, 2 eggs omelets, 1 large bowl of muesli and milk.

Lunch

Heavy (unlimited) South Indian vegetarian meal. No dessert or sweet.

or

2 garlic naan/4 rotis/ 3 lachcha tandoori parantha (any one) with one cup of dal makhani, one cup of Shahi paneer and one cup of mixed vegetables (small cups but all three)

Dinner

4 cups of Venn Pongal and gotsu

Or

8 Idlis, sambhar, coconut chutney

Or

5 thick and thin dosas, sambar, coconut chutney

or

3 adais with avial and tomato sauce 

Late night snack 

1 pack of Monaco biscuits 

A pinch of khaini every 20 minutes. 

No alcohol. 

Tea and no coffee. 

22 drawings per day

The other day, I had made plans for 47 drawings per day and become a comic artist. 

I have changed my plans because it was too steep. 

Instead I shall do 22 drawings per day. They are

1 x 5 PDCA of human perspective 

1 x 5 PDCA of one animal perspective 

1 x 5 PDCA of one object perspective 

1 x 5 drawings of hand

1 detailed outdoor drawing with perspective 

1 detailed indoor drawing with perspective 

So 22 drawings per day are planned.

The real Colonialists

The Imperial Civil Servants were the real enemies of the Indian sub continent. They were very able and the Royal Forces listened to them. Most of them had a distaste for India and thought Indians were fit only to be ruled by them. 

Nehru, Gandhi and Bose and other freedom fighters could not handle the Imperial Civil Servants. Moreover they earned their enmity by gaalibaazi and vulgar steps.

Lala Lajpat Rai was the only person from Indian sub-continent who raised the correct issue of Simon Commission. It is sad that Lala Lajpat Rai could not get support from Bose, Nehru and Gandhi. I feel Lala Lajpat Rai should have been included in the Simon Commission. Simon Commission was an All White commission and if Lalaji had got support from Gandhi, Nehru and Bose, things would have been different.

Lala Lajpat Rai had a vision beyond the then present India. He was able to show exemplary abilities in Lahore, Sindh and other places in present Pakistan.

If I were alive in those days, I would have included Lala Lajpat Rai's name in Simon Commission. By persuading the Imperial Civil Servants of those days. My golden ratio would have come useful.
